Before You Write
A few things our couples usually ask before that first conversation.
We recommend enquiring at least 12–18 months before your wedding date for peak season (October–March). That said, we occasionally accommodate shorter timelines — reach out and we'll be honest about availability.
Yes — the majority of our couples are based in the UK, UAE, USA, Canada, Singapore, and Australia. We run the entire planning process remotely via video calls, shared moodboards, and detailed written proposals. You need not visit Kerala until your wedding week.
Sovnear provides the estate — the full 4-acre property, all eleven spaces, suite accommodation, butler service, and Kerala hospitality — exclusively yours for the duration of your event. Your chosen event management company then handles catering, florals, décor, photography, production, and day-of coordination. If you don't yet have an event partner, we maintain a curated network of Kerala's finest specialists and will introduce you to those best suited to your vision and budget.
Absolutely. We have planned Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Sikh, and blended celebrations. We work closely with officiants of all traditions and take great care to honour both families' customs with equal sensitivity and creativity.

Absolutely — and we warmly encourage it. Estate visits can be arranged by appointment, typically on non-event days. Many of our NRI couples complete the entire planning process remotely and visit for the first time during their wedding week, guided by our virtual tours, detailed photography, and video walkthroughs. Either path works beautifully. Mention your interest in a visit when you enquire and we'll arrange it.
Absolutely — and we actively encourage it. Sovnear's model is designed around your team. Whether you bring a wedding planner you have worked with for years, a catering company from another city, or a photographer based abroad, they are welcomed fully. Your event management team will receive a dedicated estate orientation, complete access specifications, and full support from our estate team throughout. We ask only that they are introduced to us at least eight weeks before your event so coordination is seamless.
